Brad Hord

Brad Hord
At an early age, Brad Hord set aside formal training in piano for his first love…drums and everything percussive. During his high school years he was a member of the band and orchestra and received numerous awards as a percussionist. From then to the present he has performed rock, blues, jazz fusion and progressive music as a drummer, but always from a composers point of view. And always with a sense of melody. This sense of melody always beckoned him back to the piano. On “Signs Of Life”, Brad combines his skills as a percussionist with his gift as a composer to create soundscapes that will energize, elevate and inspire. Piano, synths, drums and world percussion weave a web of new age, world and ethnic fusion that will capture your imagination and steal you away.

Chris Ferree

Chris Ferree
North Carolina singer/songwriter Chris Ferree has been writing since the age of fourteen, first poetry then songwriting. Primarily a self taught musician, he has played various instruments off and on since age sixteen. Even though he has played guitar, sax and drums, he prefers the bass, piano and more recently the Native American flute. Over the years, Chris has released one EP and two blues/rock CDs with fellow band mates and one contemporary Christian CD titled The Harvest. Songs from The Harvest CD have been featured on secular and Christian radio stations in Charlotte and Greenville, NC as well as Gaffney, SC. Chris performed live though out the late eighties into the nineties at various clubs, fairgrounds, and festivals in and around North and South Carolina. More recently, he was involved in a local praise and worship band. Chris’s songs have been played live and re-recorded by other bands, and former band mates from Myrtle Beach, S.C. to St. Louis, Mo.
Inspired by his Cherokee heritage, Invocation is Chris’s first Native American release. Influenced by Robert Mirabal and Bill Miller, among others, this ten song project is rooted in the traditional, while balancing on the edges of world and classical. It is a combination of strong traditional native American flute, drums and percussion, fused with contemporary instruments and various ethnic sounds. The result is a collection of diverse instrumentals that range from haunting and meditative to spontaneous and moving; reflecting the spiritual journey of a man looking into his past trying to find a way of understanding the present. “I hope you enjoy and embrace these songs as much as I hope they honor and respect the Principle People of this land, those who walked the Red Road long ago and those who long to walk it now".

Cosmic America / Velvet Friend

Cosmic America / Velvet Friend
"Cosmic America has a healthy irreverence for genre lines. With original lyrics and skillful musicianship, they combine elements of the experimental, country, pop, and rock into a tight performance that is very entertaining and always unpredictable.
Cosmic America was born two years ago from a recording partnership between Brian Threlkeld and Randy Reed. With an album complete, Matt Reno was brought in to help with the live shows. Soon, the song catalog was expanded to include many Velvet Friend songs (a recording partnership between Matt Reno and Randy Reed that boasts 6 complete albums).
With the country and raging rock licks of Zander Wyatt, the Bonham-inspired drum stylings of Wade Hachler, and the occasional help from talented musicians like Paul Agostino, Lyndsay Pruett, and Jerry Roe, Cosmic America suddenly became a highly diversified and versatile band.
Cosmic America can be seen in Nashville anytime throughout the year at any of the city's premiere music venues playing alongside the most talented bands in the world.

Erika Chambers
 Erika Chambers
Erika Chambers is a modern artist with a nostalgic twist. She has a passion for introducing new ’traditional’ roots music into the classic folk scene. New listeners often assume that Erika’s songs are creative renditions of old folk favorites and are surprised to find that she pens nearly every song she performs. Her music is timeless, and her voice delicately captures that quality in every song. With her unique writing style, unforgettable vocals, and captivating instrumentation, Erika is quickly capturing the attention of the Americana / Bluegrass music scene in Nashville and throughout the country. Although she has been singing since she was in diapers, Erika wasn’t always a fan of Americana music. At the age of 11, she and her family moved from the busy metropolis of Phoenix , Arizona to an unbearably small town outside of Nashville . Her parents hoped for a simpler life in rural Tennessee , but the change was drastic and difficult for Erika and her younger sister, Aly. They didn’t understand the “Southern” way of life and didn’t have much in common with their peers, particularly in the realm of music. Erika had never heard of Patsy Cline or Conway Twitty until she attended high school with the grandchildren of both country legends. After years of being somewhat resentful of what she had always considered “hillbilly music”, Erika’s perception changed during her last year of college. Surrounded by new friends with a different perspective, Erika began listening to roots music with a new appreciation. Soon, she was writing her own songs, inspired by the classic artists she had once paid little attention to. Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and the Carter family became some of her biggest influences, along with more current artists such as Patty Griffin, Mindy Smith, Alison Krauss, and Gillian Welch. Before long, Erika had something unique to offer, and she was ready to share it. She formed a band and began playing Nashville venues. She and her band are still pleasantly surprised by the incredibly warm reception they receive from their audiences. While Erika can still be seen playing around Nashville with her band, she has big plans for the near future. Her first full-length album is debuting in 08, and her songs are already receiving airplay on broadcast and online radio stations. On “Garageband.com”, the online independent music giant, Erika has won nearly forty awards, including “Track of the Week” and “Best Female Vocals” on numerous occasions. Currently, she’s busy finishing up her album, recording demos, familiarizing herself with the ways of the ‘industry’, writing and co-writing. Of course, her favorite co-writer is still her mom, a talented lyricist, who helped Erika finally find her voice.

Film Noir World
 Film Noir World
Starting in Feb 2007 Film Noir World was created by music producer Mark Johnson. Originally from Stockton on Tees but now based in Nottingham. Film Noir World is a world of escapism, where things may be dark but there can be light inside. With big influences from dramatic cinema, Mark wants to create sounds that can take your breath away, make the hairs stand on the back of your neck, or simply just scare the bejuses out of you.
In 2007 he released "FiLM NOiR WORLD presents Its here...", with 14 tracks of swooping strings, crying choirs and dark electro beats, all mixed in with a very dramatic backdrop. To critical acclaim this album has reached radio stations in Germany, America and UK so far, so you never know where you may hear a Film Noir track.
"8th Best selling MP3 Album" - Northern Star Records
Rated * * * * * by Chain D.L.K magazine
Residing in the music of England, Film Noir World is a project by a one man band and producer who makes music that have a movie soundtrack feel. From love, adventure, to suspense, thriller, mysterious, action, and horror. Interesting cd I must say. A combining elements of electronic, trip-hop, and hip-hop. "It's Here" is a study diversity and benefits greatly from it. A persistent range of orchestral & relating strings and choir cliched phrases that Film Noir World has somehow twisted and warped just enough of a common thread holding it all together to make it work in a brilliant way. Multifaceted and brimming with an eclectic sound. A perfect hybrid of this album project. The BBC and Hollywood in the USA may give this one man music producer his big break. He deserves it! The framework of the music is an exploring of complexities. A patchwork from start to finish. Film Noir World proves that it is possible to create music that is both powerful and melodic while, at the same time, conveying some human emotion, and penetrates to the emotional heart. All fourteen tracks do have the attention to gain respect from, and to me, that's important. An admirable and brave collection of tracks to say at least, which is quite impressive and an achievement. Paul Ingrey

Paul Ingrey
Paul Ingrey has been a working musician for over twenty years and has paid his dues with literally thousands of gigs from small clubs to festivals across the UK and Europe.
His career started with an all consuming passion for the instrument which was realized through hours of practice and figuring out parts from records by Thin Lizzy, Rory Gallagher, Rush, Deep Purple etc. After a few years of playing in bands, writing original material and a number of publishing deals later he bagged a gig with a jazz pianist where all of a sudden the world of music theory and sight reading became a necessity. This was the point where he discovered John Coltrane began to realize the breadth of harmonic language. Paul continued to work up to 200 nights per year and there were a number of performances with well known artists, the gigging schedule has remained busy to the present day. In recent years Paul has also been helping younger musicians with tuition not only in guitar but also music technology. He wrote and performed three guitar tuition videos on general release, ran the pilot of Yamaha guitar encounters and wrote a sight reading manual for bass guitarists with Jeff Sayadian.
In the past ten years his music has been shaped by performances of many different genres including world music, reggae, jazz, soul, funk, rock, indie, prog and dance all of which is represented in this instrumental album. Perspectives was written through 2006 and is a look back at some of his experiences in last twenty years. The tracks are related to specific people, places, views, and incidents that have helped shaped him as a musician.

Rachel Pearl

Rachel Pearl
Amore, eros, love: flame-haired jazz temptress Rachel Pearl croons unapologetically about matters of the heart on her flawless solo debut, Love Extravagantly. Channeling the likes of Billie Holiday and Madeleine Peyroux, Pearl's dripping honey soprano casts a sweet vintage-tinged spell with lush and intimate melodies. Vocally expressing the swirling emotions of love was always the plan: "I'm a happy, sexy person and I wanted this album to reflect that. I've always thought the idea of loving someone richly, extravagantly was beautiful." Growing up a twin and in the household of a blues singing mother, the Bowling Green, KY native remembers she and her sister singing along to Tina Turner, hairbrush in hand: "I was drawn to the magnetic shine of the stage at an early age and even now, thinking about doing anything else makes me feel ill." Honing her chops and building a vocal foundation first at Western Kentucky University then MTSU, Pearl often felt restricted by the ridigity of the classical world. "It was hard for me to find my voice in all that was surrounding me. I was just trying to keep up and sound like everybody else." It was at the age of 21 that Ella Fitzgerald's "You're The Top" floated into her ear and stopped her on a dime. "I remember hearing that voice and that song and feeling like ah, that's it." As the co-founder and president of the first collegiate chapter of NSAI at Middle Tennessee State University (Murfreesboro, TN), it should come as no surprise that Rachel Pearl includes seven self-penned tracks (defying the jazz standard of three covers/seven originals) on "Love Extravangantly". Highlights include the smoking "Don't Play with Fire" and the tingling "Pins & Needles". The standout, however, is the bubbly, flirtatious duet with Nashville folk rocker and co-writer Jeremy Lister, "Baby Blue". Rachel Pearl was voted one of the "Top Emerging Artists of 2006" by American Idol Underground.
Love Extravagantly is now available for download on all iTunes, Rhapsody, Emusic & More! Be sure to add "Love Extravagantly" to your playlist!

His extensive touring history includes performances throughout the United States, Russia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Hungary, Honduras, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Bahamas, Germany, England, Netherlands and Switzerland, sharing the stage with a who's who of musical greats. After touring Europe for the 3rd time, Rick proved once again that country music is alive and well across then pond! “Our tour took us thorough Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland and at each stop the venues were great and the crowds enthusiastic. It's also amazing how country music really breaks down the language barriers. Because country is the stories of our lives the lyrics are clear and it is easy for people to understand, no matter what language they speak.”

Scarbro & Jonz

Scarbro & Jonz
The music of Scarbro & Jonz is an eclectic combination of acoutstic rock, country and alternative rock. Before they started writing together, each one had already established themsevles in the music business. Tamara migrated from California to pursue a career as a musician in Music City USA. She has been a musician all her life, starting out on the accordian at the tender age of 4; moving on to clarinet, guitar and bass guitar ( her Dad got her started playing bass in his country band in California). Becoming a professional bass player at the age of 13 got her hooked on the music life. She’s played for many a band including a tour with country artist Jeff Carson. After fulfilling her dreams of being a professional musician, Tamara wanted to do more than be a musician and backup singer and being in Nashville where song writing is king; she embarked on a journey to learn how to write. Working at the largest performing rights organization (PRO’s represent songwriters and copyright holders of music), it wasn’t hard to find a writier to teach her the ropes, which is where Kevin Jones came in.... Kevin was born and raised in Nashville, TN and has always had that Music City vibe about him. He started singing in high school and never looked back. After high school, Kevin put together several cover bands and played locally and at private parties. He’s always had the nack to come up with a good hook line and natural ability to put a song into motion. He wrote his first song after he got his first guitar as a teenager.....Then they met and started writing and the team of Scarbro & Jonz was born. Their styles, talent & creativity as well as their vocals just meshed and Tamara learned how to write songs! Stay tuned!

Sound & Shape

Sound & Shape
Every few years a band comes along and changes the foundation of music, creating a new breed of rock. Sound&Shape may very well be one of those bands. They are often described as one of the most innovative bands to come out within the last decade. Sound & Shape has created a powerful buzz all over the states with a live show that is indescribable, leaving audiences stunned and craving more. Unlike most of their contemporaries, their music unites elevated musicianship with fierce energy and passion, creating a unique and instantly recognizable sound. Their main Strength is provided by the diversity of each member. Being from Nashville and breaking free of the country music stereotype is very difficult for a rock band. Nowadays, the music is not enough. To be recognized as a respected artist one must be very dedicated and have an edge. Sound & Shape have created this edge by constantly touring and honing their sound. They played over 220 shows in 2006 in support of their debut record, "Where Machines End Their Lives," which was released on Smith7 Records in January 06' and are currently working on a new full-length, which they plan to record in June 07'. Expect big things from Sound & Shape as they continue to raise the bar for the new rock generation!
"Raucous and rebellious, Where Machines End Their Lives is a sturdy debut of tightly wound bass-drum-guitar tracks that recall those boomer-rock headbangers yet still manage to breathe new life into the style. Highly recommended." - Nick Tate/Progression Magazine
"Ecletic power trio and D.I.Y. road warriors Sound&Shape make their myriad opposing influences work, their multi-movement rock deftly shifting from frantic odd-time rhythms to muscular riffs that segue into hazy prog ballads." - Dave Paulson/All The Rage
Where Machines End Their Lives, "...the best in postmodern classic rock. It's a hybrid that allows Sound and Shape to educate the indie rock scene, while keeping to that scene's base desires." - Josh Spilker/Southeast Performer
"Sound & Shape play more than just laid back garage rock songs, they execute more than just your typical ‘prog-rock’ ditties, literally portraying a new melodic stance within the world of the technical underground rock world." - Tommy Hash/Ytsejma.com
"Where Machines End Their Lives is not quite a rock opera, but almost - with 11 songs, some divided into suites, that is quite an achievement for any band's debut record." - Carey Miller/The Clarion Ledger in Ms
"There is a dexterous dedication to stretching, sculpting, and exploring song craft, including both time signatures and rhythmic curlicues, that gives a huge nod to the pre-punk days when length was actually required for those heady FM radio nights." - Left of the dial
"Sound & Shape experiments with all kinds of sounds, and does not fall flat when it comes to their musical range and styling." - Kristen Snyder/Murfreesboro Pulse
"I firmly believe that Sound & Shape have the talent and the panache to find success wherever they go." - Jill/NashvilleRock.net
"Sound and Shape is a throwback to the bygone days when good music ruled, before the scene erupted into its chaos of dirty chords and screaming vocals.” - ‘Kid’ Khalid Almughairy/The Full Value Review
Jerry Pentecost, "Explosive, electric, and oozing energy from every pore." - Waldo the Squid/Drum Magazine

The Gypsy Hombres
 The Gypsy Hombres
The acoustic violin/guitar based trio, The Gypsy Hombres, blend traditional jazz with European, South American, and classical music to create a sound unlike any other musical group. The Hombres' repertoire embraces a wide variety of composers and styles; from Brahms and Chopin to George Gershwin, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong to international folk songs, all while retaining the gypsy spirit. But besides just adding their own arrangements and personalities to standards, they are also accomplished composers with several original songs featured on their latest album.
Because of its acoustic and aestheticaly refined nature, their style is ideal for background music at private parties and weddings. But the Hombres can also "rock house" with a captivating intensity. Equally at ease with swing, tangos, and waltzes, the Hombres provide plenty of inspiration for dancing, and their free spirit and natural improvisation can win over any audience.
Not just entertaining, their music is ideal for the serious listener, because of their high level of musical ability. In fact, their musicianship is so impressive, the Nashville Chamber Orchestra commissioned their composer in residence, Conni Ellisor, to write a piece incorporating some of the Hombres original songs, melodies and riffs. The result was "Nuage de la Nuit" -- a twenty-seven minute tribute to the legendary, gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt, featuring the Gypsy Hombres. The performance was taped by National Public Radio and is scheduled to be broadcast in the near future.
Some of the Hombres previous engagements include the Nashville Jazz on the River Festival, The Franklin Jazz Festival, and The Tennessee Jazz Festival. The Hombres have played the Governor's mansion, the movie set of "The Green Mile" and the Belle Meade Jazz on the Lawn Series, as well as numerous parties, weddings, and club dates. In fact, some of the live shows have included special guest artist including Chet Atkins, Alan Jackson, Tim O'Brien, Mandy Barnett and the great French, gypsy stylist Romane. Other guests include Terry Clark, Muriel Anderson, Beppe Gambetta, Carlo Aonzo, Kathy Chiavola, flamenco guitarist Chuscales, Buddy Spicher Annie Selleck and Miss Ava Day.

The Janissary

The Janissary
Recorded: they’re a smooth accompaniment to a drive on the coast. Live: they’re rocking your face off. The Janissary originated as a two person trip hop project (vocals on beats) in 2005. In fall 2006, the project branched and morphed into a six member band of talented chilled out friends ready to flood the atmosphere with mind-bending audiowaves. Michael Linder (Bizwak) is the co-founder, original composer of the beats and audio engineer extraordinaire. Now, he makes his living layin down tracks for TV and is the drummer who keeps your feet movin. As the other founding member, Sharon Lang (Sharone Digitale) arranges melodies and applies rhythmic, seductive vocals and sexy guitar to the mix. J-Sun Siegel (The Flarf) sets thick vibrations with a funk bass. Corey Taylor tickles the keys and manages experimental sound with a Kaoss pad. Lyndsay Pruett mesmerizes with her dreamful gypsy violin. Josh (chet) Minyard adds intense flavor and a touch of color to the mix with his assortment of percussion toys. Look for a marimba to make it on stage in the near future, probably both Bizwak and chet throwin-down. The Janissary has been working hard for months practicing, playing shows, writing material, recording it, and mixing it and just recently released their first full band recording. Its called The EP and includes six hot tracks guaranteed to make your drive a little smoother. Oh But Still...Come see them live to get an intense thrill that cant be captured on any disk.

Timo And The White Buffalo

Timo And The White Buffalo
Once in a while we are sometimes lucky enough to come across people out there in the universe who make an everlasting, positive impression on our souls. People that inspire almost by just listening to them speak or just by watching them interact... Timo is just that person. In the short time I have known Timo, I have seen a person emerge that has consistantly surprised me every day by the amount of help he endlessly gives to others.
As a musician, Timo plays all of his own instruments in his recordings, writes the music and is a heck of a one man band live! I personally draw much inspiration from his flute playing and instrumental storytelling. Use it for healing, use it for joy, use it to help you in any way, Timo's new album Feathers And Blades give you a much closer look at the man behind the stories.
Open your ears and close your eyes! "Feathers And Blades," is NOW available on all major download sites worldwide.

Trayler Parker

Trayler Parker & The Propane Tanks
The band consists of a group of dedicated friends and musicians playing the music they love. Trayler says they must have been put together by divine intervention for the purpose of playin' music and makin' folks happy. The band currently resides in the red clay hills of northeast Mississippi in the small community of "Overlooked". They rarely travel too far from home, but when they do, their audiences seem to be well pleased with what they see and hear. If you should ever have the opportunity to have the band perform for you, I am sure you will not be disappointed.
The Band:
Trayler: guitar, banjo, vocals and friend to the friendless.
Wormy Grimes: bass, banjo, guitar, vocals and man of nature. It's been said that Wormy is more comfortable with God's wild critters than with people. It took a lot to convince Wormy to play with the band; the only performing he had ever done before was for the 'coons, deer and possums around his shack in the woods.
Red Barns: fiddle, vocals. Before joining up with Trayler, Red had already experienced a degree of success on his own. He was the most sought after fiddle teacher in the towns of Belmont, Gun Town and Rienzi, as well as having played some of the biggest funerals in northeast Mississippi.
Harold Johnson: banjo, guitar and vocals. It wasn't until digging through the county landfill where he worked, and finding the Earl Scruggs big note banjo book, that Harold started trying to play. He struggled for months and seemed to be getting nowhere, but Trayler and the band never quit believing in him. Then one night after eating a big bowl of Trayler's famous mushroom soup, a light came on in Harold's head. He is now considered the top banjo player in northeast Mississippi.
Otto Gunman: steel guitar and dobro. Otto came to "Overlooked" from parts unknown with an understanding of car and truck engines. Trayler says this was a plus for him in figuring our how to play the steel guitar and helping to keep everyone's cars running.
Clay Banks: drums, hubcaps and cardboard boxes. Clay loves to play. He is always ready and willing to get together for a pickin' when he can get away from his job at the feed mill. He has been told his whole life that he has natural rhythm.
I. B. Loveless: mandolin, high lonesome tenor. I. B. works at the local Ford dealership in charge of windshield repair. With this good job he was able to save up enough money to buy the old Gibson mandolin that had been hanging in Fairless hardware for as long as people could remember. Some say old man Fairless got that old mandolin back in 1923, but that didn’t matter to I. B. He said it still looks and sounds good, and maybe someday he could afford a new one.
Vallay Parker: vocals. Vallay is Trayler's baby sister who is married to I. B. She makes guest appearences with the band when she is not in bowling league. People say Vallay and Trayler have good family harmony. Trayler Parker has 2 new albums available now!

Victory Gin

Victory Gin
This four piece original act has identified their own sound with a bleeding mixture of rock and roll bluegrass, americana, soul, and vocal styling just not available on the music scene today.
Jim DeWitt/Songwriter - Is a wild visionary. Sometimes Dark, always mysterious, yet sensible and hooky. Not an easy combination to accomplish.
Jeff Wilson/Songwriter - Our ace in the hole story teller. Great rhythms, “Real feel”, Picnic, knee slappin love. You won’t believe this guy is from Jersey.
Joe Larsen - Accomplished solid groove player. Yeh, that’s right put on the click. He has no fear. Joe has recently toured with Amphibian, and has also recorded and toured with multiple accomplished artists.
Gary Szymanski - The “bring it together guy”. Gary brings his versatile style to the unit. Playing everything from funk and blues to country licks. If you’re looking for a hook he just may find it.
When you spit out the corporate stew, rinse your mouth, and are ready to bite into a new possibility… Victory Gin is here.
